I am thrilled to offer this journey of spirit to Peru with our home for the week at Willka T’ika, an exquisite sanctuary and the premier luxury wellness retreat center in the Sacred Valley of Peru, located between the Incan Capital of Cusco and the World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu.

Join me on this unique journey to the heart of our hearts where we will meet ourselves in breath, in body and in spirit as we explore our inner nature as a reflection of that which surrounds us ~ Earth to Sky.
Each morning we will open with an All levels flow yoga class sharpening our senses as we journey thru the Wheels of Internal Energy known as the Chakras. These 7 centers within the body are also reflected in nature outside of us and when in balance we experience feeling safe, creative, comfortable, loving, validated, insightful and connected to the world around us. Unlike anywhere else in the world, We are SO fortunate to connect these elements thru The Chakra Gardens at Willka T’ika, which lovingly have been tended to for the last 20 years center around a 1000 yr old tree.

At Willkat’ika, Kristin will blend movement with meditation each day. Our travels thru the Sacred Valley will be led by our own local, skillful private guide who will be with our group through the entire week from the time we arrive in Cusco to our departure…

our time together:
Day 1:We arrive in Cusco, a beautiful Colonial city with amazing architecture. We will shuttle from the airport to our hotel conveniently situated off the historic Plaza de Armas. After a rest we will take a late afternoon walk through the cobblestone streets of San Blas visiting churches literally built on top of Mayan ruins. We will enjoy a delicious Peruvian dinner & enjoy a restful sleep before our journey continues!
Day 2: After a leisurely breakfast we begin our journey to Willka T’ika! Our guide will take us to the giant stones of Saksaywaman which overlook the city of Cusco. From here we travel to the Incan ritual fountains at Tampumachay. “Where there is water, there is life.” We will have the opportunity to participate in a ceremony to honor Yaku, the spirit of water. Further journeying to Moray, “The Belly of the Mother” with the Q’ero shamans we will create a despacho for connecting to Mother Earth. Late afternoon, we arrive at award winningWillka T’ika. After our opening circle we will enjoy the first of our 3 course farm to table vegetarian dinners with one another.
Day 3: Today after yoga and breakfast, We will have the option to participate in a ceremony at the Naupa Iglesia temple and receive the first carpay of the Pampamesayoq. This is a beautiful and powerful place to begin the path of the Inka tradition. After lunch there will be time for R and R, or a hike to the Maras salt mines or into the village of Urubamba before afternoon yoga and meditation in the Chakra Gardens before our dinner. Before turning in, take in the panoramic skies and stars that go on and on and on…
Day 4: After yoga and breakfast, Continuing with our guide we will visit the spectacular ruins of P’isaq. Overlooking impressive Incan terraces, our group will hike to the Temple of the Sun, a doorway to the upper Andean world of the Condor, messenger of the Gods. After spending time there we will return to the main square of P’isaq by bus and visit the famous, colorful market filled with woven goods, jewelry, wall hangings and hand-painted beadwork. Being in this market is gazing back to a time long ago. There will be time to enjoy a café or tea in the market square where you can observe colorfully dressed campesinos wearing traditional clothing coming to barter and sell their produce. P’isaq is a photographer’s dream! Return, relax and enjoy dinner!
Day 5: A Very full day! Early morning sun salutations and we are off after breakfast to Machu Picchu, the “City of the Inkas” in route taking the the luxurious Vista Dome train. This mysterious site has fascinated tourists and scholars since its discovery in 1911. It has been said to have been built on top of a giant crystal in the earth. Machu Picchu is an incredible marvel of architectural design and structure and has been said to have an incredible energetic field of higher life force. We will have time to find a quiet place and experience the wisdom of this magical place. Later in the day we will visit the hot springs of Aguas Caliente ( resting our legs! ) with time to stroll thru this international town before returning to our home away from home for the week. A nourishing dinner awaits our return back at Willka T’ika and a wonderful deep sleep after such a special day.
Day 6: Enjoy stretching your hamstrings before breakfast! Our travels will take us to the ceremonial site of Ollantaytampu and the famous Sun Temple. In this quaint picturesque town, T’ika recommends enjoying lunch at a well-known restaurant “Heart Café” which supports local communities. Later in the afternoon we will have an opportunity to enjoy free time to rest, enjoy the spa, hike or perhaps read in the Chakra Garden. If you are feeling more active, choose from a variety of hikes and activities through the valley and up the mountains! Late afternoon yoga and another spectacular dinner await us in the evening.
Day 7:Today after our final Yoga gathering and breakfast, it is an a la carte day with freedom to explore or if you decide to stay on the property there are so many decadent things to do. Nearby is horseback riding, white water rafting, a leisurely walk to the town of Urubamba through farming neighborhoods or perhaps you’d like to shop at a high-quality alpaca factory store or the famous Seminario ceramics shop. We will gather by the fire in the evening in closing our weeks adventure together before our final Farm to table FEAST! Star gaze, read by the fire or slip under the covers for a good night’s rest.
Day 8:Today after a hearty breakfast we will head back as a group to Cusco for our flights and farewells!
