be.in the Galápagos Islands with Kristin cork ~
1 room is left for single or double +
1 woman is looking for a roommate!

join me as I return to the Galápagos Islands!
we will be staying at a lush 12-acre private yoga retreat villa in the Highlands of Santa cruz where endemic Giant Tortoises roam freely and walking paths abound.

This dynamic Galapagos Yoga adventure is land-based in Santa Cruz allowing for daily yoga, easy visits to the beautiful downtown area and maximum exploration of several islands and their unique biodiversity.

There truly is no place like the UNESCO World Heritage Galapagos Islands. The variety of wildlife both on land and in the water of the Galapagos is remarkable and because of the archipelago’s isolated location and conservation efforts, many species are found only in the Galapagos that has virtually been unchanged since prehistoric times.

Daily, we will awaken our reptilian spines from head to toe on our mats before heading out to explore the various islands and the mind blowing nature that occupies them.
Upon return, nap, swim and : or yoga before sunset + dinner.
Our morning yoga is more active, our late afternoons all gentle, restorative bliss!

Luxury boating excursions to the must-see sites such a Bartolomé and South Plazas are included, as well as snorkeling and kayaking on secluded bays.
All day trips will be accompanied by our own certified Galapagos Naturalist.
Bring your cameras to witness up close the Galapagos turtles, penguins, flamingos,
marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies & more!

Wherever Be.Yoga travels, an important element is giving back to community, conservation and education. Collectively as a group Be.Yoga will be donating on our behalf to these causes thru the Charles Darwin Center and the Galapagos Conservatory ..
You too will have an opportunity to give back in addition if you so choose to support their efforts …
We are so fortunate to experience such an important place on the planet
respectfully and mindfully.

P.S. ~ Where in the world are The Galapagos?
The Galapagos are in the Pacific Ocean about 1,000 km from South America off of Equador.
The 19 islands and the surrounding marine reserve have been called “a living museum and showcase of evolution.” Located at the confluence of three ocean currents, the Galapagos are a melting pot of marine species. Ongoing seismic and volcanic activity reflects the processes that formed the islands. These processes, together with the extreme isolation of the islands, led to the development of unusual animal life such as the land iguana, the giant tortoise, and the many types of finch that inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection following his visit in 1835. The Galapagos Islands are home to some of the highest levels of endemism (species found nowhere else on earth) than anywhere on the planet. About 80% of the land birds, 97% of the reptiles and land mammals, and more than 30% of the plants you will see are endemic. More than 20% of the marine species in Galapagos are found nowhere else on earth. Favorites include the giant Galapagos tortoise, marine iguana, flightless cormorant, and the Galapagos penguin—the only penguin species to be found in the Northern Hemisphere. To learn more about the islands, history, species, and conservation, visit The Galapagos Conservancy (www.galapagos.org).
