Santa Fe has held a special place in my heart for years.
When Scott and I lived in Colorado, we would visit often.
Each time I arrived, something shifted. The combination of big sky, crisp air and artists touches almost everywhere made me feel like slowing down to just soak it in.
There’s a special, quiet potency nestled in the landscape of Sante Fe.
I have chosen September because in the high desert it is incredible!
Crisp mornings, warm days and mesmerizing sunsets have a palette entirely its own.
Art is woven into the architecture and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and 1.5 million acres of national forest that surrounds Sante Fe
offers the perfect balance of both expansiveness and intimacy.
Add to that an extraordinary foodie scene (YES, the food!) and that it is the perfect temperature…It is no wonder travelers come from around the world to experience this UNESCO Creative City.
And then… there is Bishop’s Lodge :)
Our home for five nights is the breathtaking Lodge which is an award-winning Auberge Resorts property set on 317 private acres in the foothills. It is quietly luxurious with
Adobe architecture and expansive mountain views. There are reading nooks with Kiva fireplaces, our rooms all have private terraces and there are countless outdoor spaces to exhale and explore.
What drew me here was to be tucked away immersed in nature,
while also being seamlessly connected to everywhere else we might wish to explore.
On property, we’ll have access to:
~ The heated pool and The Spa ( optional )
~ Art and wellness classes, hiking, stargazing and maybe some horseback riding.
I’ll guide Yoga each day on the historic chapel lawn.
We are just seven minutes to the galleries and boutiques of Canyon Road, to cultural and historical museums, and to the famous plaza with open-air artisan markets as well as incredible
cafe’s and restaurants.
(Complimentary shuttle service is included to it all.)
This retreat is designed for restoration, inspiration, and be.ing in Mother Nature
~The Art of Be.ing
for me happens when time slows down, without rush, or being over-scheduled
and on this particular retreat not being fatigued from international travel!
