Do you want toconnect more fully with yourself?
Do you want to better understand how movement + motion, stillness and staying power matters in regards to your overall vitality?
Do you wish to be bothstronger and softer, clearerand more compassionate for yourself and the world around you?
Are you considering yoga teacher training but not sure of that is the right path for you?
Are you interested in learning why what we do on our mats affects our lives so positively?
With every breath we exchange what’s inside of us and outside of us, if we aren’t super clear on this neither are our energies in the world. In Yoga we learn to stretch our minds and our mindsets, challenging and releasing where we hold un-serving stories and beliefs. Thru the various philosophies, tools and techniques of Yoga we can learn to “unlearn” where our postures have been practiced thru the lens of someone else’s “directives” as we tease out what our unique bodies : ages: seasons need for alignment to provide a sense of steadiness and ease in our day to day life.
To dive into the Yogic teachings we more fully YOKE… JOIN… CONNECT. This immersion is perfect for anyone who is looking to more deeply understand: ~ Yoga postures with alignment + principles specific to your body ~ Yogic energy systems of the Chakras, Koshas + Vayus ~ Steadiness in your feet + legs and openess in your hips + heart ~ Yogic philosophy thru Patanjali’s 8 limbs of Yoga ~ How to support our bodies physically as we age ~ Each month we will analyze modifying and emphasizing our yoga practices ~ Tools + techniques to release what no longer serves your life
This Immersion is a journey, deepening your connection to living life now … It also prepares you (if you choose) to continue onwards to the ”Be.Teaching From Within” 200 hr YTT Training.
Weekend 1: Foundations of Yoga and Inquiry This opening weekend invites a thoughtful exploration of where we have been on our mats and where we feel called to go, both in practice and in understanding. Through personal reflection and shared inquiry, we will examine how our unique anatomy shapes our experience of yoga, with particular attention to foundational standing postures and the functional relationships of the pelvis, spine, and head. Emphasis will be placed on why alignment, intention, and informed choices not as rigid rules but as tools for cultivating safety, curiosity and clarity on our mats and in our lives. To balance these explorations we will also look at our practice lying down with ways to open up our fascia and connective tissue.
Alongside physical exploration, we will establish a conceptual foundation by examining what yoga is, its history and how its philosophical frameworks support embodied practice. We will be introduced to the chakras, koshas, and vayus as lenses for understanding the layered and dynamic nature of the human experience, observing how we both influence and are influenced by these systems. The weekend will also offer an overview of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, highlighting their interwoven qualities and relevance to modern life. Together, these teachings set the groundwork for a practice that is reflective, integrated, and rooted in both tradition and lived experience.
Weekend 2: Grounding, Integrating + Cultivating Inner Awareness This weekend we explore standing forward folds and will have an opportunity to share with others our research of a posture and all of its benefits. We will examine these postures as expressions of surrender, stability, and discernment, with attention to functional alignment and the role of gravity, breath, and nervous system response. Asana practice will be paired with an in-depth study of the Yamas and Niyamas, exploring how these ethical foundations can be consciously aligned with our daily lives, offering practical guidance for personal reflection and choice-making.
Our inquiry will continue inwards through an exploration of Svadhisthana Chakra and the Pranamaya Kosha, deepening our understanding of how movement, breath, and emotional intelligence intersect. We will study the dynamic relationship between Apana and Samana Vayu, observing how balance between these forces supports digestion, assimilation, and energetic steadiness. We also will tease out the Bandhas, particularly Mula Bandha. We will look at why it matters and how it supports both structural integrity and energetic lines of energy.
Weekend 3: Stability, Right Effort + Expansion thru Vinyasa This weekend explores the interplay of steadiness and movement through standing balancing postures and a gradual transition to the floor for gentle backbends. Through these practices, we will investigate how balance is cultivated not only through strength and focus, but through adaptability, breath awareness, and right effort. We will explore proprioception as well as interoception and the benefits from the bandhas that support both stability and bouyancy.
Our philosophical and energetic focus will center on the Manipura (Third) Chakra, alongside continued exploration of the koshas and vayus, observing how our sense of self is connected to intuition, how digestion isn’t just physical and how steadiness can manifest across layers of body, breath, and mind. 5 Pranayama practices will be introduced and refined as a means of directing energy with intention, supporting clarity, vitality, and inner balance. As our inquiry progresses, we will move upward through the limbs of yoga, examining how concentration, presence in the present and breath regulation create a bridge between embodied practice and deeper states of awareness around us.
Weekend 4: Integration, Reflection, and the Heart of Practice Our final weekend turns toward integration and introspection through seated forward folds. These postures offer an opportunity to soften effort, refine awareness, and observe the effects of gentle practices over time.
The energetic and philosophical focus will rest in the Anahata (Fourth) Chakra, exploring themes of balancing the “me to we” connections off our mats and in our relationships. We will continue our study of the inner layers of koshas and vayus as they relate to the heart center and inner knowing. This weekend invites a synthesis of the teachings, offering time to reflect on how the practices of yoga support presence, relationship, and wholeness. Together, we will close the immersion by honoring the continuity between structure and softness, effort and ease, personal practices and shared community.
