Give yourself the gift of returning to yourself, finding your center, and releasing deeply embedded tensions from the body and spirit.
Restorative Yoga is a gentle and deep practice, using props to hold the body gently in restorative positions. This practice builds upon recent research into “conscious relaxation”, releasing the body’s embedded stress response and creating a healing environment that returns the body and spirit to optimal balance. With continued practice, the body will more and more easily return to a state where stress is turned off and the body’s ability to restore and heal itself is activated.
This workshop will provide you with the philosophical and anatomical principles underpinning the practice, followed by an hour-long Restorative class. No previous experience or physical ability is needed; all are welcome. This class is also recommended for Yoga teachers. CEUs available.
