Whether you are a competitive athlete, weekend warrior, or living a more sedentary lifestyle, recovery and self care should be a part of your routine. Overuse, postural distortions, and improper rehabilitation from injuries can not only cause pain, but lead to decreased range of motion and limited flexibility. This workshop is designed to give you tools to limit these from happening by incorporating mobility drills, self myofascial techniques, and active stretching. Ever experience an amazing massage where it hurt so good?! This class will give you the tools to take your self care to the next level!
We will incorporate foam rollers, balls, and other yoga tools, to help get your body out of pain and bring more mobility to your joints. All you need is your mat and comfortable clothing. In order for muscles to function fully and effectively, there must be no restriction or adhesion in the myofascia. Therapy balls act on these restrictions by allowing you to squeeze, compress, knead and loosen muscle fibers and facial stickiness. Sometimes yoga stretching just isn't enough, so therapy balls are a tool for reaching places in the body that yoga cannot access in quite the same way.
