Seva is selfless service and at be.yoga, we know our mission reaches beyond our walls and into the world. You may have already taken part in one of our collections or, if new to our studio, perhaps you are now just learning about our Seva program.

Cystic Fibrosis Evening a Huge Success!

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed their generous spirits at the Wine & Warriors evening at Be.Yoga for my nephew, Clark.
The evening raised $1,200 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and I know this year we will see our donations to CFF exceed $500,000!

I share below a video that is meaningful and moving about Clark's life and the cost of dreams. Please consider taking 3 minutes to watch it, it is inspiring ~

Scholarships at Be.Yoga

At Be. Yoga, we want yoga to be accessible to anyone who has the interest and desire to practice. This is part of our mission in the world…to practice on and off the mat.

It came to our attention this Fall that attending one of our retreats was a dream for a Be. community member with a life-altering medical condition, and because of that condition, it was financially prohibitive.

Over a four-month period, we had the privilege through monies raised in our community classes to donate $500 towards the retreat for this person. We also had generous donations made by clients to help offset the cost of the trip, and the dream of a yoga retreat was realized for this individual.  In the end, it was us at Be.Yoga who truly received the gift, as this person added so much  love, joy and wisdom to our Be.Yoga retreat.

Be.Yoga greatly appreciates and encourages anyone wanting to make a donation of any amount at any time of the year to our Scholarship Fund which helps others in financial need have the ability to attend Be. classes, workshops, series and retreats. Knowing that the proceeds from our community classes are going directly back into the well-being of our community is powerfully healing for all of us.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or to make a donation, and if challenges fall upon you and Be.Yoga could make a difference in your life, please reach out to us.

This to us is the true sense of family and community. We are honored to be serving.

In gratitude, Kristin and Leslie

Here is what Paula from Feeding Topsy's Friends had to say about our event:

"Feeding Topsy's Friends"  would like to extend a very big thank you to Leslie of Be.Yoga in Avon and her friend Lynn P. for helping to create a wonderful day helping "Dog Star Rescue" build 33 beds for dogs in shelters!   "Dog Star Rescue"  rescues dogs that are in kill shelters, find homes.  They also help dogs by building beds for the shelters, and that is what everyone participated in on August 1st!  Check out their website for more information www.dogstarrescue.org .  This is all great news, because of Leslie's generosity  "Feeding Topsy's Friends" has now reached a new grand total of $2,715.00 in donations!  The turnout of volunteers was fabulous, it was a beautiful sunny day and everyone got right to work building the many needed dog beds.  Other donations include $545.00, 3 fabric dog beds, 2 dog crates, 80 lbs. of dog food, 2 wobbly longs and 15 dog toys!  Imagine all of the happy animals that now have a nice bed to sleep in as they await their forever home.    A wonderful thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this day possible, especially Robyn B. who has been a big support at all of "Feeding Topsy's Friends" events.  It was also appreciated that  the  "Cake Gypsy" of Avon donated her beautiful and delicious cup cakes!  Everyone loved them and they made the day even more fun.  A great time was had by all!  The total of dog food gathered by "Feeding Topsy's Friends" is now at 650 pounds!!  Myself and the many many animals we have now fed, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Love, Paula
